ABOUT THE CONCERT

Composer Carl Vollrath returns to the live stage with selections from his upcoming Navona Records release, OLD & NEW POETRY VOL 2. Featured in this premiere is a visual presentation of Vollrath’s Songs of Innocence, a setting of William Blake’s poetry performed by pianist Yoko Hagino and mezzo-soprano Aliana de la Guardia. Filmed in Rockport MA’s Shalin Liu Performance Center, this performance also features It’s Over, a tender piece of Vollrath’s original texts set to music.
