Bahué LCMC Submissions are due TODAY!

Write for Bahué!

Bahué and Castle of our Skins are pleased to announce the following sister projects: Black Composer Miniature Challenge (BCMC) and Latinx Composer Miniature Challenge (LCMC)! We’re excited to share platforms, create greater visibility of the global majority, and build even stronger networks of diverse creatives.

For the Bahué #LCMC 2.0, composers who identify as Latin American or part of the Latin Diaspora are challenged to compose pieces for vocalist Aliana de la Guardia and percussionist Ariel Campos! Each piece must be 30 seconds or less. We strongly recommend pieces to be inspired by themes of Latinidad!

- Compositions must be 30 seconds or less

- Pieces can be scored for solo voice, solo vibraphone, or voice/vibraphone duo

- Composers may include fixed electronic playback (no live electronics)

- Works can be in the composer’s preferred language

- Composers may apply to BOTH the LCMC and the BCMC
